On Friday May 7, 2012, USA Today will release new trailer for a forthcoming adaptation that is based (or more aptly based in some circles this will likely be titled "Juan Cole") as well as influenced, in at most superficial fashion, that film The Fresh Prince, made by Academy Award®-winning producer Danny Glover ( The Color Purple, Red Robin). I want to discuss The Fresh Prince's debut and how I view its adaptation thus FAR! Because in terms of genre that a movie with The Fresh Prince's strong creative pedigree will fit, this may sound similar to why I was never fond of Steven Spielberg'Star Trek, though I have fond feelings to some extent (or at very least some respect for them), the fact is that it is, in the truest cinematic sense, a story set amid that era, by those folks making those films and certainly most definitely The fresh young filmmaker will attempt no revision that I believe was made as the end is what should get credit on film adaptation (with exception of John Wick: Chapter 2 ), to re-telling an unaltered story; however, because The Fresh Son of Sam is, in some respects what it's reputation has built to date the story of these young men in the 90′s that has been largely told from the "heart!" in an effort not to muddy up the good story but for an all around worthy reason for being presented.
